As a member of the Data Science practice, you will be leading the Business Analysis role, converting investment banking end outcomes to data / tech roadmap in collaboration with senior bankers, execution bankers, data scientists, data engineers and project manager. You need a strong foundation in the capital markets data ecosystem including fundamentals, market data, valuation methodologies, broker estimates, financial filings across M&A, ECM and DCM markets. You will be playing an active role in transforming business models of leading global investment banking firms.Hands-on experience on analytical tools is preferred, but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review complex investment banking challenges and convert them into actionable stepwise projects.• Conduct interviews with senior bankers and execution bankers and summarize/document key insights.• Assist project management leads in converting core financial language to actionable Data/Tech projects.• Advise and educate data scientists and engineers on Financial Analysis and Valuation Methodologies• Ensure building functional QA for global filings (such as 20-Fs), GDRs, ADRs, options dilution etc. • Build and maintain a taxonomy for company entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data analysis.• Expert-level understanding of advanced ratio analysis and valuation techniques (comps, DCF, LBO etc.)• Manage client relationships and effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.• Document project progress, business processes, and data requirements meticulously.
Experience / Skills 8+ years of relevant experience in:• Hands-on experience in front-office M&A / ECM / DCM support for senior and execution bankers • Experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably within the investment banking sector.• Experience with market data analysis and financial datasets.• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with a business and technical aptitude.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong organizational and documentation skills. Additionally, desired skills:• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their applications in business analytics.• Experience with developing and implementing taxonomy mapping for company entities. Education• Bachelors or Masters in Finance, Economic, Science or Engineering disciplines
