Job Description

1.         Merchant Partnerships and Acquisitions:

·   Develop and execute strategic plans to acquire new high-value merchant partners for the company's payment processing services.

·   Leverage extensive industry connections and relationships to identify, qualify, and onboard premium merchants across various verticals.

·   Manage the full lifecycle of merchant acquisition, including prospecting, presentations, contract negotiations, and onboarding.

·   Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual targets for new merchant acquisition and revenue generation.

2.         Merchant Relationship Management:

·   Serve as the trusted advisor to prospective and existing merchant partners, understanding their pain points and delivering tailored solutions.

·   Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target merchant accounts through regular check-ins and value-added support.

·   Work cross-functionally with teams in sales, operations, underwriting, and account management to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing service delivery.

3.         Strategic Insights and Execution:

·   Identify and capitalize on emerging market trends and industry opportunities to drive new merchant acquisition.

·   Provide feedback and insights to company leadership to help shape the overall merchant acquisition strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

·   Work closely with teams in Finance, Operations, Marketing, and Engineering to support merchant acquisition and partnership initiatives.


Requirements

·   5+ years of proven experience in merchant/partner acquisition in the payments, fintech, or financial services industry.

·   Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales quotas and growing a portfolio of high-value merchant accounts.

·   Exceptional consultative sales skills, with the ability to navigate complex decision-making processes.

·   Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.

·   Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

·   Thorough understanding of the payments ecosystem and merchant service offerings.

·   Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field.
