Data Governance Strategy: Define and implement comprehensive data governance strategies, policies, and procedures, ensuring data availability, usability, and security.
Data Quality Management: Establish data governance standards and processes to maintain data quality, consistency, and accuracy across the data lifecycle. Implement data quality initiatives, including data profiling and quality metrics.
Framework and Guideline Development: Develop robust frameworks and guidelines for data classification, ownership, and stewardship to ensure data is managed effectively across the organization.
Data Security & Compliance: Guide the implementation of data security, privacy protocols, access controls, and data protection measures in compliance with regulations.
Data Management Processes: Design and oversee processes for data identification, metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging to enhance data management and traceability.
Collaboration and Data Sharing: Define and enforce data sharing and collaboration protocols across departments, ensuring proper data access and adherence to sharing agreements.
Tool Evaluation & Implementation: Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of data governance tools and technologies such as Alation and Azure Purview to support governance initiatives.
Training and Stakeholder Engagement: Provide guidance and training to business users and stakeholders on data governance best practices, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence and understanding.
Industry Trends & Compliance: Stay current on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements related to data governance, recommending and implementing necessary changes to policies.
Experience:
Prior experience in data governance or data management roles, with a strong focus on data quality, metadata management, and data stewardship.
Proven expertise in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Master Data Management (MDM).
Hands-on experience with data governance tools and platforms such as Alation, Azure Purview, or similar.
