About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NOC Analyst to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in network operations within the Indian job market. As a NOC Analyst, you will act as an escalation point for NOC L1 Engineers and be responsible for managing and resolving incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and changes. You will work closely with senior engineers to tackle advanced issues and ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our network infrastructure.
Desired skills and requirements:- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a Network Operations Center or similar environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Switching Expertise: Experience with configuring and troubleshooting switches, including VLAN management and spanning tree protocols.
- Wireless Knowledge: Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting wireless networks, including experience with access points and wireless controllers.
- Security Knowledge: Experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Monitoring Tools: Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, and Wireshark.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of handling complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with team members and other departments
- Certifications: Associate Level Certification like CCNA is a must, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
- Escalation Point: Serve as a key escalation point for NOC L1 Engineers, providing advanced troubleshooting and support.
- Incident Management: Efficiently manage and resolve network-related incidents, service requests, problem tickets, and changes.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance using industry-standard tools and proactively address potential issues.
- Maintenance and Optimization: Perform routine network maintenance and optimization to ensure peak performance.
- Collaboration: Work alongside senior engineers and other IT professionals to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of incident resolutions, network configurations, and operational procedures.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift-based environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging network technologies and recommend enhancements to improve network performance and reliability.
- Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with network security policies and protocols.
