Role Overview:

The CDP/DCDP – Tandoor will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic tandoor dishes while maintaining high standards of hygiene, quality, and consistency. The role requires expertise in traditional Indian cooking methods, especially tandoor, kebabs, and breads, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook authentic tandoor dishes including kebabs, breads (naan, roti, kulcha, etc.), and curries as per standard recipes.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency are maintained at all times.
  • Manage mise-en-place for the tandoor section.
  • Assist the Sous Chef/Head Chef in menu planning and introducing new tandoor dishes.
  • Train and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen helpers in the tandoor section.
  • Monitor and maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Control wastage and manage food cost effectively.
  • Ensure the tandoor oven is properly maintained, cleaned, and handled safely.
  • Coordinate with service staff for timely order execution during operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as CDP/DCDP in a tandoor/kebab section of a reputed restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, particularly tandoor preparations.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Culinary degree/diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per year
