Role Overview:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for overall operations, performance, and growth of the Strip Mill Plant. The role requires strong knowledge of sintering and cladding line operations, expertise in lean manufacturing techniques, and application of modern industrial management practices to achieve operational excellence. The candidate will be accountable for production, quality, cost, delivery, safety, and compliance in alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


• Lead the Strip Mill Plant operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sintering and cladding lines with optimal productivity and quality.


• Drive lean manufacturing practices, implement Kaizen/5S, and eliminate non-value-added activities for improved efficiency.


• Develop and execute production plans, aligning with business targets and customer delivery schedules.


• Ensure strict adherence to IATF 16949 quality standards and regulatory requirements.


• Manage plant budgets, cost control initiatives, and profitability improvement programs.


• Monitor and maintain pollution control systems, environmental compliance, and EOHS standards in line with statutory norms.


• Build and lead a high-performing team; implement skill development, performance improvement, and accountability culture across functions.


• Coordinate with cross-functional departments (R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Marketing) to ensure seamless operations.


• Drive modernization and automation initiatives for continuous improvement.


• Establish and sustain systems for safety, health, and environmental performance at the workplace.

Qualifications & Experience:


• Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Industrial Engineering (preferred).


• 12+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment, with at least 5 years in leadership role.


• Strong exposure to sintering and cladding processes in the strip/bearing/bimetal industry or related sectors.


• Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing, TPM, and modern industrial management techniques.


• Sound knowledge of TS 16949 / IATF 16949 standards, pollution control, and EOHS regulations.


• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams.
