About Position:

We are looking for Site Reliability Engineers who are proficient with monitoring tools, preferably New Relic. The person should have experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and any cloud. Python coding experience is very much preferred.

What You'll Do:

  • Comfortable asking questions and respectfully voicing your opinion in group settings.
  • Comfortable providing and discussing a recommendation after evaluating multiple solutions.
  • Detailed understanding of DevOps Capabilities and their importance in enabling high performing teams.
  • Experienced working in a cloud environment in a role of devops engineer, infrastructure engineer, or software development engineer with infrastructure exposure.
  • High level of competency with at least two cloud platform, ideally multiple, such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud.
  • Production level use of Terraform, Shell/Bash, and Python (or Go, Java, Ruby–another non-Shell programming language).
  • Have a strong knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and infrastructure fundamentals in a multi-region microservice architecture environment.

  • SRE/Reliability concepts-
  • Observability platforms (New Relic, DataDog, etc):
  • SLOs
  • On-Call Experience for production SaaS:
  • Toil elimination and tool & framework creation.
  • General networking (VPC, subnets, VPN, firewalls, etc):
  • GitHub Actions:
  • Groovy / Jenkins pipelines:
  • Terraform
  • Kubernetes
  • Docker
  • Bash
  • SQL
  • Establish production readiness practices to reduce risk and improve reliability throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Communicate best practices and build out tools and frameworks to increase adoption of best practices.
  • Work closely with application development teams and incorporate their feedback to improve developer experience and reduce toil.
  • Present plans and proposals to Engineering Leadership.
  • Contribute to the creation of SRE roadmaps.
  • Lead projects as we execute objectives shared across our SRE teams.
  • Develop tooling to manage infrastructure and deployments, mostly in Python
  • Provide an elevated level of support to application teams.
  • Provide guidance to less senior engineers.
