Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure networking architectures using Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, VPN gateways, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, site-to-site VPN).
  • Configure and manage DNS, including Azure DNS zones, private resolvers, custom DNS servers, and hybrid/external domain resolution for seamless connectivity and security.
  • Administer cloud databases such as Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, and Cosmos DB, including performance tuning, backup, disaster recovery, and data migration between on-premises and cloud.
  • Monitor, optimize, and automate cloud infrastructure with tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • Implement robust identity, access, and security controls leveraging Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), DNS zone contributor permissions, multi-factor authentication, and data encryption standards.
  • Act as escalation point for Microsoft support tickets, collaborating with Microsoft engineers to resolve high-impact, cross-service incidents, service outages, and architectural issues.
  • Document and maintain cloud architecture standards, troubleshooting guides, compliance artifacts, and escalation processes for knowledge sharing and operational maturity.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute), DNS configuration, and cloud database management.
  • Advanced proficiency with Azure administration (Azure Portal, Azure CLI, PowerShell).
  • Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and incident response for enterprise-level escalation scenarios.
  • Experience in performance monitoring, cost optimization, backup, and disaster recovery for critical systems.
  • Collaboration and communication skills to work with stakeholders and Microsoft teams under pressure scenarios.

  • Administer Azure cloud databases and ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal performance for mission-critical applications.
  • Lead technical resolutions for Azure-related escalations with Microsoft, drive root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
  • Develop scripts and operational automations for efficient infrastructure management and service monitoring.
