Key Responsibilities :


- Collaborate with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements and design ETL solutions that meet business needs.

- Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.

- Design and implement data mappings, transformations, and workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target databases.

- Perform data profiling, validation, and cleansing to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the ETL process.

- Optimize ETL processes for performance and efficiency, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and optimization opportunities.

- Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data manipulation and reporting purposes.

- Collaborate with database administrators to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security.

- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data mappings, and workflow diagrams for knowledge sharing and future reference.

- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.

- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues related to ETL processes and data integration.

- Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in ETL and data integration to incorporate into project implementations.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns related to ETL development activities.

Skills and Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- 5-8 years of experience in ETL development using Informatica PowerCenter.

- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, manipulating, and analyzing data from relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, and dimensional modeling principles.

- Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter tools including Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager.

- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes and SQL queries.

- Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Control-M or Autosys for job automation and scheduling.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with other ETL tools and technologies such as Talend, DataStage, or SSIS (preferred).

- Relevant certifications in Informatica PowerCenter or related technologies (preferred).
