A Presales Network Architect is a client-facing technical expert who analyses potential clients' network requirements and designs technical solutions, often in the form of high-level and low-level designs, to address those needs. They bridge the gap between sales and technical teams by creating detailed designs, building proposals, and conducting product demonstrations to show how a proposed network solution will meet the client's business goals.

Key Responsibilities

·
Client Engagement:

Meet with clients to understand their current network infrastructure, business challenges, and goals.

·
Solution Design:

Create scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions, including both on-premise and cloud-based options.

·
Technical Documentation:

Develop high-level and low-level design documents and diagrams.

·
Proposal & Bid Support:

Work with sales and bid teams to prepare proposals, technical sections of RFPs/RFQs, and bills of materials (BOMs).

·
Product Demonstrations:

Conduct and deliver product demonstrations and proof-of-concept (POC) exercises to showcase solutions.

·
Technical Liaison:

Act as a technical bridge between clients and internal engineering/sales teams.

·
Market Awareness:

Stay updated on emerging network technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions.

·
Handover:

Ensure a smooth transition of the solution design to the implementation and delivery teams.

Required Skills and Experience

·
Deep Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of various network technologies, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, wireless, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).

·
Solution Architecture:

Experience in designing complex network architectures, both on-premise and in the cloud.

·
Client Communication:

Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

·
Problem-Solving:

Ability to analyze client requirements and identify the best technical solutions to meet those needs.

·
Vendor Knowledge:

Familiarity with major networking vendors and their products.

·
Professional Certifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are often beneficial.
