Job Description :

- Minimum 5+ years' experience as Vertica DBA

- Minimum 2+ Years Experience as MYSQL DBA

- Should have working experience in backup and restore, DB Upgrades, OS Patching, etc.

- Implement data security measures to safeguard sensitive information stored in the databases.

- Good Understanding on Vertica Concepts and experience on latest Versions

Performance Tuning :

- Monitor system's health and performance

- Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security

- Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time

- Provide suggestions for solutions

- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

- Troubleshoot database issues and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve underlying problems

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Witbe Scripting Expertise :

- Proficient in Witbe scripting language and its functionalities (e.g., screen checking, OCR, jumps, utility functions)

- Ability to develop automated test scripts for Set-Top Boxes (STBs) or other embedded devices using Witbe

- Experience with creating robust and maintainable test scripts

Testing & Automation Knowledge :

- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), particularly the testing phase

- Experience with functional and regression testing methodologies

- Familiarity with test automation concepts and best practices

Technical Skills :

- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python) for potential custom block development within Witbe

- Understanding of automation frameworks or tools (may be beneficial)

- Familiarity with operating systems like Windows or Linux (depending on the role)

Additional Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
