Senior Backend Engineer | Node | (Lead Level) – Movate Position: Permanent, Long-Term Experience: 8–10 Years Location: Remote (India) Joining: Urgent – within 15 days About the Role Movate is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale AI-powered enterprise applications that enable knowledge automation and conversational intelligence . You will lead backend design and development, optimize large-scale systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, resilient platforms. Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and develop scalable backend systems using Type Script / Java Script (Node.js) . Design and optimize data models and indexing in Postgre SQL and/or Elasticsearch for high-volume workloads. Build search and analytics pipelines supporting AI/ML and NLP-based solutions. Optimize APIs for high throughput, low latency , and global scalability . Define and enforce best practices in code quality, observability, and CI/CD pipelines. Collaborate with AI teams to integrate ML inference, semantic search, and vector indexing into production. Ensure system reliability, data consistency, and fault tolerance across distributed services. Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and contribute to the long-term technical roadmap . Work with Dev Ops to deploy containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments. Required Skills & Experience 8–10 years of experience in backend engineering (preferably in Saa S or AI-based product companies). Strong proficiency in Type Script, Java Script, and Node.js . Expertise in Postgre SQL (schema design, query tuning) and/or Elasticsearch (clustering, advanced search). Experience in scaling backend systems to handle millions of requests. Strong grasp of system design, caching, load balancing, and distributed computing . Knowledge of message queues – Kafka, Rabbit MQ, or AWS SQS. Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes , and CI/CD tools (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops). Familiarity with AWS / Azure / GCP , Infrastructure as Code , and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK ). Strong understanding of API security, authentication , and rate-limiting strategies . Excellent problem-solving and performance optimization skills. Good to Have Exposure to AI/ML integrations , vector databases , or semantic search pipelines . Experience with stream processing frameworks – Kafka Streams, Flink, or Spark Streaming. Knowledge of Redis, Memcached , or CDN-based caching . Experience with zero-downtime deployments , blue-green releases , and chaos testing . Familiarity with threat intelligence or cybersecurity data systems. Why Join Movate?
