Position: Academic Cluster Lead (L7) ( Management /Technical / Humanities)

Job Role Description:

The prime role of the Lead of the academic cluster is to provide strong academicleadership. The lead is responsible for the academic cluster and should manageeffectively by providing strategic direction and support to the highest standards ofacademic excellence.

The Job scope involves the designing and development of the Programme structure,Syllabus Curriculum, Pedagogy, Resource allocation, Academic planning &Budgeting, Research activities, Faculty development and ensuring student success.

The Lead will also be responsible to craft various academic initiatives such asSeminars / Conferences /Workshop/ Training programmes/Expert lectures etc; intopics of relevance and importance to the department.

The Lead of the academic cluster should bring in active Industry academiccollaboration for student Internship and Value-added courses with respect to theirdomain. Should serve as a liaison with departments, professional associations, andregulatory agencies on academic matters. To represent the BOS of the clientUniversities on academic matters and be responsible and accountable for setting upand advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with the Universitystrategic plans and direction. Promote the visibility of the University both internallyand externally and ensure that all essential resource material is made available foruse as required.

Functional/Technical skills:

· Should have worked in a similar role leading, overseeing, governing, growing andmanaging the department’s academic affairs and prospects.

· Should be competent to drive existing and new programmes of the academiccluster for planned outcomes and identified objectives.

· Should be able to direct academic programmes, process, roles, and successfuldeliveries for new and existing clients.

· Good organizational skills with sound execution competencies, client centricitywith compliances on the SLA and process outline.

· Monitor Academic standards on regular intervals, view the feedback fromstakeholders, assess the impact and suggest measures for improvement.

· Provide support and suggestions to the specific projects on a collaborativeapproach for effective completion and success.

Behavioural skills:

· Self-motivated, dynamic and a solution providing a bent of mind and action.

· Strong academic sense with student success attributes aligned to programme ofstudy, its compliances and satisfaction metrics.

· Good team management skills with ability to motivate others and work .

· Good communication skills, positive attitude and drive to help and support theorganizational needs for desired results.

· Research aptitude and drive for continuous improvement and effectiveness.

Eligibility: Master’s degree and above in the domain specialization of AcademicCluster, with 10 years of work experience, of which, a minimum of 5-7 years ofexperience to be as the Head of the Department having led and been instrumental tonurture and grow the department from strength to strength.Should be familiar to the Higher Education segment and have Edtech work experience.
