Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trims Sourcing Specialist to join our Purchase Department in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the procurement of all trims and accessories required for our home textiles division. This role involves close coordination with the Merchandising department and other internal teams to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and efficient resolution of service issues.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Procurement of Trims and Accessories:
  • Source and procure trims and accessories (such as buttons, zippers, labels, tapes, etc.) required for home textiles.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Maintain and update the database of suppliers, ensuring reliable and quality sources for all trims and accessories.


  • Supplier Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.
  • Conduct regular supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
  • Resolve any supply chain issues that may arise, such as delays or quality discrepancies.


  • Coordination with Internal Departments:
  • Collaborate with the PPC and Merchandising department to understand production schedules and requirements.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure all trims and accessories meet the company’s quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics and Inventory teams to ensure timely delivery and proper inventory management of trims and accessories.


  • Service Issue Resolution:
  • Address and resolve any service-related issues involving trims and accessories, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues and continuously improve procurement processes.


  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and cost analysis for management review.


  • Market Research and Analysis:
  • Stay updated on market trends, new product developments, and pricing fluctuations in the trims and accessories market.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on market analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions.


  • Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Textile Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in trims sourcing, procurement, or a related role within the textile industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Additional Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of the home textiles industry and the various types of trims and accessories used.
  • Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and resolving supply chain issues.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements in the textile industry.
