About the role

Starzplay is seeking an experienced Arabic Translator to support the real-time translation of live sports commentary on a 6 months contract. This role is essential in ensuring our Arabic-speaking audience enjoys seamless and accurate coverage during live sporting events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate live sports commentary from English to Arabic in real time, maintaining accuracy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
  • Collaborate with commentary and production teams to ensure smooth broadcast delivery.
  • Review and edit translated content for quality and consistency.
  • Adapt language to suit diverse audiences while preserving the excitement and tone of live sports.
  • Provide post-event translation support for highlights, summaries, and related content if required.

Requirements:

  • Native or near-native fluency in Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Strong command of English with proven translation/interpreting skills.
  • Prior experience in live translation, preferably in sports commentary or broadcasting.
  • Deep understanding and passion for sports, with the ability to quickly grasp game flow and terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, quick thinking, and ability to perform under pressure in a live environment.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹300, ₹450,000.00 per year
