Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Supply Chain Planning – Regional Planner

The Region Planner is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize business operations within a specific geographic region. Their main objective is to ensure that the company's resources, including people, technology, and finances, are effectively utilized to meet regional business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Regional Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing long-term and short-term strategic plans to achieve business objectives within a specific region. This involves analyzing market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs specific to the region to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Resource Allocation: Allocating company resources, such as manpower, technology, and finances, within the region to ensure efficient and effective operations. This includes identifying resource gaps and recommending solutions to optimize resource utilization within the region. Market Analysis: Conducting market analysis within the region to identify market potential, customer segments, and market trends. This involves gathering data on customer preferences, competitor strategies, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and drive business growth. Sales and Distribution Planning: Collaborating with sales and distribution teams to develop regional sales and distribution plans. This includes setting sales targets, identifying distribution channels, and coordinating with sales teams to ensure effective implementation of sales strategies within the region. Supply Chain Management: Collaborating with supply chain teams to ensure smooth and efficient flow of products or services within the region. This includes coordinating with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners to optimize supply chain operations and minimize costs within the region. Performance Monitoring: Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) within the region to evaluate the effectiveness of regional operations and identify areas for improvement. This includes conducting regular performance reviews, analyzing data, and making recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability within the region. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and operations, to align regional strategies and goals. This involves effective communication and coordination to ensure a unified approach towards regional business objectives. Market Research: Conducting market research within the region to identify new market opportunities, emerging trends, and customer preferences specific to the region. This includes analyzing competitor strategies, customer feedback, and market dynamics within the region to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition. Compliance and Regulations: Staying updated with regional regulations and compliance requirements to ensure business operations within the region are conducted in accordance with legal and ethical standards. This includes liaising with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regional regulations. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving regional planning processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. This includes staying updated with industry best practices and implementing innovative approaches to optimize regional operations.

Specific Tasks

·Backlog Management / Scrubbing Order (Date) Mgmt

·Funnel/Sales & Inventory Management and Big Deal and Tender Demand

·Understand how Allocations and Slotting are impacting Ship, Inventory- and Revenue Plans and align Plans and impacted stakeholders

·Leveraging Stat Forecast both for CQ-CQ+1 and Long Range Planning Horizon

·Liaison with Commercial/Finance/Marketing within the Region to understand NPI, PIPO assumptions

·Define the Long Range Plan 1x/Q based on market- and thick date insights (CAGR, Long Range Strategic Plan, Market Share Assumptions, Healthcare Industry Growth etc)

·Prepare for Big Deals Review (orchestrated by IBP COE), providing meaningful insights to drive actionable decisions for PSI

·Prepare and contribute to Regional Op-Mechs / reviews which are not part of the official IBP Cycle (tailored / regional flavors)

·Prepare / contribute to Region Demand Alignment Reviews where the PSI is signed-off by Region Leadership

·Loading the Region Production Sales and Inventory into Demantra according to IBP Calendar

·Actively participate in monthly Demand Reviews with Global Planners after the Region Demand Lock

·Review Region Forecast Accuracy and Region Forecast Bias on a Quarterly Basis

·Understand the root causes of error (through Lean methodologies including e.g. 5Why’s, Fishbone, DMAIC) and define structural countermeasures- and associated activities / projects to minimize error

·Prepare for Quarterly Region Forecast Accuracy- and Region Forecast Bias Reviews (orchestrated by IBP COE CQ - CQ+1)

·Leverage FA/Bias Predictor Capability (for MTO modalities) to predictively understand (rough-cut) Region Forecast Accuracy / Region Forecast Bias for CQ

·Interlocks with Fulfillment on Slots / Push-Outs / Pull-ins. Check Site Readiness, Credit etc.

·Ongoing order date management follow-up and pulse to reflect into op-mech with Fulfillment

·Shortages Op-Mech for items not being shipped: passing on information to order mgmt teams, deciding in the region which orders to re-allocate to

·Involvement with logistics: await ASD incl Transfer Price and Invoices

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

Rich work experience. University Graduate Relevant Experience

Strong Communication Skills Strong Supply Chain Knowledge (esp. Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management) Strong cross-disciplinary knowledge ranging from marketing / product management to FP&A, Manufacturing Strong stakeholder engagement- and influencing skills Strong analytical and insights-driven way of working Mastery in Supply Chain systems (Demantra, GL Prod, ECC, APO, PowerBI, Tableau, etc..) Stakeholder engagement and influence Organization skills and project management Demonstrated proficiency in forecasting skills/methods High degree of familiarity with Statistics Relationship building with cross-disciplinary functions up to senior leadership level APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification preferred Ability to cross-learn and cross-pollinate with other Modalities/Segments and look at the bigger picture Enterprise Mindset
