Mongo DB / Postgresql / Elastic Search (Strong experience in any 2) Key Responsibilities Design, install, configure, and maintain Mongo DB / Postgresql / Elastic Search on-premises clusters (replica sets, sharded clusters). Manage and optimize database performance, including query tuning, indexing strategies, and resource utilization. Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting using Grafana, Prometheus, and Mongo DB Exporter. Configure backup and recovery mechanisms using mongodump, snapshots. Handle replication lag, oplog sizing, and balancer optimization in sharded clusters. Work closely with developers and Dev Ops teams to ensure database best practices in application design. Perform root cause analysis for database performance and stability issues. Implement security hardening, user management, role-based access, and TLS/SSL setup. Contribute to capacity planning, scalability improvements, and high availability (HA) setups. 3–6 years of hands-on experience with Mongo DB/Postgresql/Elastic Search (Any 2) administration (v4.x – v8.x). Strong understanding of replication, sharding, journaling, and storage engines (Wired Tiger). Experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu). Proficient in monitoring Mongo DB metrics via Grafana, Prometheus, MMS. Knowledge of query profiling, explain plans, and performance analysis. Familiarity with Mongo DB backups, PITR, and disaster recovery. Experience in scripting and automation using Bash or Python. Good understanding of networking, security, and SSL/TLS configurations for database communication. Experience with version upgrades, patching, and migrations Knowledge of connection pooling (Pg Bouncer/HAProxy) and load balancing for read replicas. Proficiency in SQL, PL/pg SQL scripting, and Linux shell scripting.
