Job Purpose: Involving in Engineering Safety implementation andcompliance for Lab Facilities

PrimaryResponsibility
Overall adherence to safepractices and procedures of oneself and the teamsaligned.
Contributing to development of procedurespractices and systems that ensures safe operations and complianceto companys Safety integrity & quality standards.

Driving a corporate culture that promotes environmenthealth and safety (EHS) mindset and operational discipline at theworkplace always.
Ensuring safety of self teams andlab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environmenthealth and safety (EHS) requirements always in theworkplace.
Ensure all assigned mandatory trainingsrelated to data integrity health and safety measures are completedon time by all members of the team including self
Compliance to Syngenes Safety & Quality standards at alltime.
Hold self and their teams accountable for theachievement of safety goals
Govern and Review safetymetrics from time to time
Engineering Safety & corporateinitiatives:
Conceptualization andpreparation of safety related URS/Layouts for biologics facilityinjectable
facility laboratories design forpharmaceutical process
understanding on brownfieldproject expansion including detailing GAP analysisunderstanding
and preparation of proposal includingconceptual layouts.
Collaborates with EAM and Projectsfor change plans if problems arise.
Ensure Syngeneequipments premises utility systems are well maintained as perGEP.
Establish safety standards & policies forEngineering & maintenance.
Manage contractor safetymanagement permit to work activities & highrisk proceduresacross
Syngene.
Responsible for Safetyrelated to major facility modifications and major maintenanceactivities
within company premises.
Ensurehigher standard of safety while execution of a projects &maintenance task ensure
complete vendor compliance tothe internal safety standards. Run a consequence metricsfor
noncompliance of EHSS framework for vendors andemployees.
Meet regulatory & statutory requirementsrelated to Engineering
Annual planning budgeting &costing in assigned areas.
Ensure successful audits&; client visits related to Engineering Infrastructure &projects.
Safety evaluation for engineering equipments& facilities related design innovations and
varioustechnical needs.
To maintain business continuity plan& risk register.
Ensure smooth running of any auditsrelated to EHS management system.
To delegate the rolesand responsibilities in the respective functional areas.
Implement strategic plan in line with businessrequirement.
Adhering to the companys establishedprocesses and rules and ensuring that the team does as
well.
Compliance with SOPs cGMP and EHSSstandards.
Updating on day to day activates andsubsequent plan with reporting manager.
Educational Qualification:


Safety Certified engineer with additionalqualification in BE/BTech in Mechanical/Electrical
Engineering.
Technical/FunctionalSkills.
Good knowledge on Pharma/Biotechindustry environment.
Bioprocess/Sterile/Discoveryservices operations will be plus.
Possess the knowledgeand exposure to EHSS practices.
Experience.: Overall1518 year of industry experience out of which 8 years of relevantmanufacturing
facility construction and managementexperience required.
Good knowledge inengineering safety and infrastructure projects safety.
Good knowledge in cleanroom and Biosafety levels.
Bioprocess/Sterile industrial experience is preferable.
Behavioral Skills.
Good incommunication (written/oral) in English.
Collaborativeteam player
Growth mindset positive approach.
