Skills Job Title: Remote IT Support Engineer (L1/L2) Location: Chandigarh Job Type: Full-Time About the Role Our Remote IT Support team ensures the smooth operation of all end-user hardware, software, and IT services. This role requires strong communication skills, solid technical understanding, and a commitment to delivering exceptional remote customer support. Level 1 (L1) Support Engineer Responsibilities & Requirements L1 Support Engineers serve as the first point of contact for end-users. They manage basic incidents and service requests, perform initial diagnostics, and focus on achieving quick and effective resolutions. Key Responsibilities Incident Management: Respond promptly to support requests via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system and log all incidents accurately. First-Call Resolution (FCR): Aim to resolve issues during the first user interaction using available knowledge bases and troubleshooting steps. Basic Troubleshooting: Address common technical issues like password resets, account unlocks, printer setup, VPN/Wi-Fi connectivity problems, and standard software installation or removal. Documentation: Record all troubleshooting actions and resolutions thoroughly in the ticketing system. Escalation: Identify complex or unresolved issues and escalate to the L2 team with complete documentation. User Guidance: Provide users with clear instructions and self-help guidance for routine IT processes. Required Qualifications Experience 0–2 years in a helpdesk, service desk, or remote IT support role. Technical Skills Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and macOS environments. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace . Experience using ticketing tools such as Jira Service Desk , Zendesk , or similar platforms. Soft Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent listening skills and a customer-first approach. Ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient under pressure. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ , ITIL Foundation , or similar are an added advantage.
