We are seeking an experienced Manager QC (Quality Control) for a well known company in Jewellery Industry to lead the Quality Control function and ensure the highest level of product quality in line with international standards. The role involves managing a large QC team, coordinating with multiple departments and driving continuous improvements to achieve zero defects and customer satisfaction.

Job Objective:
To ensure high quality of products manufactured and delivered on time, meeting customer requirements and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with all segments, including contractor units, to ensure timely readiness of pieces for customer/third-party inspection.
  • Conduct quality checks for finished pieces before presenting them to customers/third-party inspectors.
  • Prioritize orders in the Special Order Series (SPO) to ensure timely delivery with quality standards as per customer manuals.
  • Implement and monitor QC checklists, ensuring adherence to standards to minimize inline rejections.
  • Drive proactive measures to reduce inspection failures and eliminate customer returns due to quality issues.
  • Prepare and maintain QC reports for OTIF (On Time and In Full Delivery), MIS, and other quality metrics.
  • Monitor cost per piece, including overtime, fixed/variable costs, and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to process flows, proper use of tools/consumables, and achieving First Time Right" production.
  • Lead and manage a team of 35 members, ensuring skill development, productivity, and accountability.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders (Production, Sales, Sampling) and external stakeholders (3rd party QC agencies, customers).

Role Requirements:

  • Experience: 10+ years in Quality Control, preferably in a manufacturing/export environment in jewellery industry.
  • Education: Graduate (technical/engineering background preferred).
