Job Title:  Marketing Coordinator

Department:  Marketing 


Summary:

The Marketing Coordinator supports the day-to-day functions of the Marketing Department. Critical tasks include administrative support, producing marketing materials, planning and executing tradeshows and events, digital marketing via social media platforms, email campaigns, and updating website content. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for event planning, exhibit excellent attention to detail, communicate effectively, and adapt to a rapidly changing work environment. This role has considerable growth potential with opportunities for domestic and international travel. This position is based out of the New Delhi office, Astrophysics India Pvt Ltd. Astrophysics India Private Limited is a branch of Astrophysics Inc, USA


Essential Functions:


Marketing:

·       Assist in creating, updating, and distributing marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, press releases, newsletters, infographics, etc.

·       Confer with the Product Manager to update brochures and product technical specification documents.

·       Maintain marketing inventory of promotional materials.

·       Research and order approved promotional materials.

·       Assist the Product Manager and Marketing Director in researching and preparing reports on industry trends, market size, market share, customers, competitor products, pricing, strategies, etc.

·       Create and update product competitive matrices.

·       Collaborate with the Sales team to ensure an accurate Dealer network list and communications.

·       Send regular eblast communications to Sales and Dealers

·       Distribute requested marketing material to current Dealers.

·       Assist Sales in building a strong email contact database and deploying e-mail marketing campaigns.

·       Follow-up on email opens, website visits, leads, and overall effectiveness of email blast

·       Assist in compiling reports on Google Analytics and Google Ad campaigns.

·       Perform additional essential job duties as requested by management.


Public Relations

·       Manage Astrophysics’ online brand presence.

·       Update and maintain company website and Astro Net (tradeshow calendar, product info, press releases, content, Dealer access, marketing collateral)

·       Create content and post to social media platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google My Business

·       Establish and maintain public relations/media/publications contacts.

·       Submit company press releases and advertisements to appropriate sources/contacts.

·       Maintain a list of company trade associations and key industry and market publications, conferences, etc.

·       Research market publications and industry events for coinciding features/trade show distribution that may warrant potential sponsorships/advertisements.

·       Negotiate, book, and record approved advertisements/sponsorship agreements.

·       Create and manage internal/external facing surveys to analyze needs, satisfaction, and brand perception.

·       Build quality relationships with Dealers/customers to ensure Astrophysics logos, product information, and collateral are represented correctly


Tradeshows & Events

·       Tradeshows: Maintain tradeshow calendar, research potential tradeshows, schedule and book approved tradeshows, negotiate with vendors, order materials and services, manage demonstration units, assist with booth design layout, register exhibitors, assist with travel coordination, order and package promotional items, send eblast to leads, follow-up with Sales to track leads and tradeshow metrics to measure success

·       Company events: Research venues and vendors, register attendees, negotiate contracts, coordinate accommodations, activities, and meals/menus, and assist with agenda and presentations.

·       Communicate company event participation to internal Dealers, staff and partners.

·       Appropriately represent Astrophysics at industry and company events, exhibit product knowledge, and serve as a brand ambassador.


Reporting

·       Collect relevant data and assist in analyzing and reporting marketing metrics to determine the success of marketing activities, including email campaigns, social media, tradeshows, sponsorships/advertisements, website, Google Ads campaigns etc.

·       Keep detailed tracking for all purchase orders and requisitions related to marketing expenditures.

·       Reconcile and work closely with accounting on all marketing invoices.

·       Provide management breakdown of monthly marketing spend/budget.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

Position: Non-exempt

Hours: 9 am – 6 pm (Hours subject to change based on the needs of the business. Additional hours may be required for special campaigns/events.)


Required Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Management, Communications, Event Management or equivalent field

·       3 years of marketing experience (tradeshow/event planning experience a plus)

·       Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

·       Confident, charismatic personality

·       Thrives in a fast-paced environment.

·       Open communicator who works well in a team environment

·       International exposure and cultural awareness

·       Understanding of social media in a B2B/B2G space preferred

·       Excellent command of verbal and written English, writing ability a plus

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Adobe Suite a plus

·       Experience with Google Analytics and InDesign a plus.
