Engineering Manager

Responsibilities :
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 30+ engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and professional development.
- Manage operational budget and expenses for the engineering team, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
- Perform engineering design evaluations to ensure projects are within resource, budget, and scheduling constraints.
- Set, manage, and report KPIs to measure progress and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of engineering teams and project managers, ensuring execution of software development projects against delivery commitments and project plans.
- Seek ways to simplify and standardize designs, operations, and deployment plans, focusing on reducing complexity and providing performance, agility, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives and priorities.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and excellence in engineering practices.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience leading engineering teams.
- Over 12 years of development experience in a large-scale, mission-critical environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of hiring, retaining, and mentoring top engineering talent.
- Experience managing operational budgets and expenses.
- Strong understanding of engineering design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in setting and managing KPIs to drive performance and results.
- Experience overseeing the execution of software development projects against delivery commitments and project plans.
- Ability to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
