EconomistDepartment: Criteria, Model Development & ResearchWork Location: BengaluruPrimary ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth macroeconomic and financial research across sectors and geographiesDevelop econometric models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, and policy evaluationAnalyze climate risk and ESG trends, integrating them into economic and financial frameworksAuthor high-quality research reports, presentations, and briefing notes for internal and external audiencesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and client engagementsPresent findings to senior leadership, clients, and external partners with clarity and confidenceStay current with global economic developments, regulatory changes, and ESG standardsCompetencies / SkillsExperience in publishing research or presenting at conferencesFamiliarity with climate risk frameworks (e.g., TCFD, NGFS) and ESG rating methodologiesExposure to working with rating agencies, think tanks, or financial institutionsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, along with collaboration skills, enabling effective work with stakeholders at all levels.Strong presentation skills and stakeholder engagement capabilityDrive continuous improvement by researching advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to enhance model accuracy and efficiency.Educational Qualifications and Experience:Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, or a related discipline5 to 8 years of relevant experience in economic research, financial analysis, or ESG strategyStrong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and visualizationHands-on experience with R or Python for econometric modeling and data processingAbout Brickwork RatingsBrickwork Ratings (BWR) is one of India’s leading credit rating agencies, committed to providing the investment community with products and services needed to make informed investment decisions.
