Responsibilities
This is a full-time hybrid role for an IIoT Solutions Engineer at SamPrama Digitek (I) Pvt. Ltd. located in Pune. The IIoT Solutions Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, including hardware and software integration, data analytics, and system optimization. The role will also involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and guidance, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. This position allows for some remote work.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an IIoT Lead Engineer who is self-motivated to continuously evolve and explore new technologies.
Understand customer requirement for building smart factory.
Customer visit for understanding of requirements and study of machinery for connectivity.
Architecting end-to-end solutions for use-cases including connectivity, deployment (on-prem server or cloud), data storage and security of data.
Design & create process flow and wireframes as per customer description/requirements.
Testing of newly developed features in IIoT Solution and reporting to development team regarding errors.
Identify communication protocols supported by IIoT devices, CNC’s, SCADAs, PLC’s, DCS systems, sensors, edge devices etc.
Test and establish connectivity with Middleware.
Deployment of solution with successful UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sign-off.
Qualifications
Broad understanding of electrical / electronic devices (PLC’s, SCADAs, sensors etc). Understanding of manufacturing process / industrial environment is added advantage.
Broad knowledge in networking and connectivity on OT side (OPC, MQTT, PLCs, LoRa etc) as well as IT side (TCP/IP, REST, WLAN, Security & Firewalls, etc)
Strong knowledge of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies and protocols
Ability to setup and install systems such as middleware, gateway devices.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge about setting up of servers, database, cloud will be added advantage. Understanding of cloud platform and IoT platform will be an added advantage.
Bonus if you understand ERP systems or IIoT Platforms such as PTC Thingworx, Ignition, Wonderware, MindSphere etc.
Self-motivated and Interest in learning new tools and technologies are preferred. Ability to work independently and in a team.
Experience on hobby/own projects/ideas will be a huge plus
Understanding of GIT will be plus.
