Job Description :


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Research and Data Analysis to lead our research team, and manage other functions based in India such as internal recruitment and marketing. You will be responsible for overseeing the identification and sourcing of candidates and clients to meet recruitment and business development briefs, as well as leading on analysing data to provide insight into what we do and how we can do it better. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, an excellent understanding of data and research, strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to drive the team towards achieving targets. The Head of Research and Data Analysis will ensure the accuracy and quality of data, provide comprehensive reporting to senior management, and conduct and oversee regular audits of the team's work. You won’t be afraid to hold people to account while supporting your team and developing their skills.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, coach, and manage the research team (researchers, data assurance executives, recruitment administrators) as well as marketing and internal recruiters based in Pune.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team. Monitor performance against KPIs by the team.
  • Provide ongoing training and development to enhance team capabilities.
  • Be responsible for the Pune office (while working remotely or once the office is in place), providing people management for all team members. Ensure there is a good culture in the Pune office and good collaboration and relationships in place with other offices globally.
  • Once the office is in place, look after the Pune office and the facilities management of it, working alongside the Central Back Office team.


  • Research and Data Sourcing:
  • Working with Team Leader(s), develop and implement effective strategies and processes for sourcing candidates and clients through various channels, including , the wider internet, databases, and other resources.
  • Stay informed of new sourcing techniques and roll out to the team. Prepare business cases for senior management where an investment case is needed for new technologies to enhance performance.
  • Ensure the team utilizes advanced search techniques and tools to identify potential candidates and clients.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of candidates and clients.
  • Identify where the database needs the most attention and deploy resource to meet this need e.g. through cleansing data.
  • Refine and improve processes to make the team’s work as efficient and effective as possible.
  • Work with new recruitment leaders to set up a new part of the database for their area of expertise, understanding the nuances of their market and adding and fleshing out data in line with their Go To Market strategy.


  • Quality Assurance and Auditing:
  • Working with the Team Leader(s), conduct regular audits of the team's work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards and processes.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards in data collection and analysis.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during audits through feedback and training.


  • Reporting and Analytics:
  • Provide detailed and insightful reports to senior management on the team's performance, key metrics, and market trends.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement across the business, areas to target and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management in a clear and concise manner.


  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with recruitment consultants and marketing to understand their needs and tailor research efforts accordingly.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and senior management, providing regular updates on progress and challenges.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the recruitment industry.
  • Proven strong leadership and team management skills, with at least five years’ experience managing a diverse team, ideally across international borders.
  • Excellent research and data analysis capabilities.
  • Proficiency in using advanced search tools, CRM databases, and recruitment platforms including .
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and persuasion skills.
  • Enjoys a challenge and finding innovative ways to solve problems and make improvements.
  • Thrives working in a fast-paced and dynamic KPI-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis software, including Excel.


Note: Your core expertise should be in recruitment data, research, leadership, and management. You are not expected to be a marketing or internal recruitment expert, but you should be able to manage people even where you don’t have expertise in their field.
