Job Description -Annotation Quality Analyst


Position Overview: The Annotation Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of annotated data used in machine learning and AI models. This role involves overseeing the annotation process, conducting quality checks, and providing feedback to annotators. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Conduct training sessions for annotators on the use of labeling tools and project-specific guidelines.

Perform regular quality checks on annotated data to ensure it meets the required standards.

Provide constructive feedback to annotators to help them improve the quality of their work.

Understand client requirements and quality criteria and ensure that these are communicated effectively to the annotation team.

Identify areas for improvement in the annotation process and implement strategies to enhance quality.

Maintain clear and detailed documentation of quality issues and the steps taken to resolve them.

Work closely with the project management and data science teams to ensure that the annotated data meets their needs.


Skill Set Required:

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

  • Eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and consistency of annotated data.

Previous experience in a quality assurance role, preferably in data annotation or a related field.

Ability to calibrate with the stakeholders and cascade the same to the team.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and data labeling tools.

  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proficient in using annotation tools and platforms.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and patterns.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback.


Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with data labeling platforms.

Certification in annotation platforms or quality assurance.

Experience in conducting training sessions or workshops.

Experience in quality control, particularly in an instructional software environment.
