Description

Burns & McDonnell India has exciting opportunity for Civil Engineer interested in growing their careers in an organization recognized asone of the 'Most Preferred Workplaces of 2023-24' by Team Marksmen. in India. The company is in the process of establishing the Transportation Global Practice in Mumbai office mainly to serve the transportation market in North America region. This group will eventually provide engineering services for projects which include but not limited to roadways, highways, bridges, railroad and traffic signaling systems.

We are looking for an experienced and energetic Civil engineer to join our Transportation team in Mumbai office to support civil design activities on projects mainly in North America region. The successful candidate will report to the Section manager and will assist in building the civil team to support future transportation projects

Key Responsibilities:

Design of Traffic signaling.

Prepare Temporary Traffic control plans and details.

Analyzing crash data to identify patterns and develop safety improvement strategies.

Traffic survey.

Civil site design for facilities and developments.

Modeling and designing roadway using OpenRoad or Civil-3D

Prepare Plan & profile sheets.

Prepare Pavement marking, erosion control and cross section drawings.

Standard design of civil roadway project work.

Capture client requirements and if needed, advise them regarding civil works, systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.

Manage the assigned scope within agreed schedule and budget.

Willing to advance in career by taking increased responsibilities on projects and organization.

Work with a team locally to deliver projects overseas to the US project management team.

Tools:

Sound knowledge of Open Road or CIVIL-3D VISSIM,

Preferred Understanding of Microsoft Office Tools – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook, OneNote

A plus but not required: IHSDM, Project-Wise

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineeringfrom a recognized institution

Minimum 3 to 7years of working experiencein the related civil roadway/ Traffic transportation industry.

Working knowledge of International codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, FHWA, American-DOT etc.)applicable for Roads and rail projects.

Knowledge of Highway Safety Guidelines and relevant codes.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Good Communication skills (verbal & written) and ability to self-check and produce accurate work.
