CAD Technician

Job DescriptionPosition Overview The CAD Technician will play a critical role in supporting the design and engineering teams by creating detailed technical drawings and plans using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and standards. Key Responsibilities Create accurate and detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D). Modify and revise existing drawings based on feedback from engineers and project teams. Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings. Attend project meetings to discuss design progress and address any technical challenges. Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and client specifications. Conduct regular checks and reviews to maintain accuracy and consistency in designs. Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations as needed. Stay updated with the latest CAD software and tools to enhance productivity and design quality. Troubleshoot software issues and recommend upgrades or improvements. QualificationsDiploma or certification in CAD drafting, engineering design, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, or similar tools. Additional InformationPreferred : Strong understanding of technical drawing principles, engineering standards, and construction practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting. Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into drawings.
