The position holder is responsible for providing professional development services by preparing quality services in contemporary practice and supporting the quality department so that they can competently collect patient health data, analyze the data to determine diagnoses, identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient, develop a plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain the expected outcomes, implement the interventions identified in the plan of care, and evaluate the patient’s progress toward attainment of the outcomes. The quality executive will be responsible for clinical care quality in terms of testing and practicing outcomes that are safe for patients. She/he will also be responsible to test, apply best practices and simultaneously collaborate in clinical/medical/paramedical/operations team for patient care, clinical and operational and quality excellence.

Key Performance AreasBe a part of Clinical Governance Team in implementing all quality initiatives and monitoringclinical care quality at the unit level.Involving in tracking monthly quality indicators and implementation of process to improve quality in patient care areas, to identify non-compliance (NC) relevant to medication management, patient safety, infection control and other patient care areas and close the NC’s within the targeted timePerforming daily surveillances related to clinical quality and deriving appropriate plan of action to close the sameGenerating daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in terms of measuring, analyzing andinterpreting quality indicators, and developing actionConducting clinical audits based on Standard Operating Procedures developed at the hospital.Ensuring problem identification, perform root cause analysis and identify strategies to resolve themConducting monthly quality improvement projects in clinical departments and presenting to the committee in the monthly quality review meetingPlanning, quality training for employees on policies and procedures followed in the hospitalOrganizing and maintaining reports for internal and external staff development activities related to quality development (workshops/symposiums/conferences)Driving all initiatives of Kauvery hospital related to patient care quality and measuring its successCoordinating with other departments related to quality for process streamliningCompiling daily observation and surveillance data to be presented monthly, quarterly, biannually and annually and in piloting newer documents and suggest amendmentsInvolving in measuring, analyzing and interpreting quality indicators, and developing actionplan to reach the set targetOrganizing and conducting assigned committees and contributing in the committees to be involved at the group levelBalancing between quality sustenance and cost cutting as a part of hospital lean management and efficiency evaluationMaintaining appropriate feedback system both vertical and horizontal without disturbing themorale of the individuals and educate them on the sameMaintaining relevant documents and adherence to established reporting systemImplementing clinical forms and evolving documentation as per norms and standardsFollow-up the compliance of Quality calendar and other quality related activities from the central.Supporting the heads of the units in all aspects of quality care and administration at KauverySupporting the administration team if required other departments too in organizing events as and when requiredMaintaining professional decorum at all times and serving as a role model to their staff andbranding both the organization and the nursing professionUndertakes quality initiatives, audits, risk management as due in conjunction with the quality and patient safety manager.Assures application of a tracking method to monitor progress towards goals by collecting accurate,timely data to display the quality, cost, and service outcomes.Effectively communicates improvements that are made to work teams, staff, managers, andadministrators throughout the organization.Be a part of Clinical Governance effective in managing the clinical teams across all the units ofKauveryBe a part in K IQUA audit team and conducting internal audits within all the departments of the unitsBe a part of 5S team, participating in conducting QC projects, implementing 5S practices,participating in Kaizen activities, implementing OPL at the units.

Qualification:

M.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Nursing.
