Job Summary:

The Head of Finance and Accounts is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, ensuring that financial strategies are in place to support business objectives. This role involves overseeing financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and accounting functions while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on financial performance and business strategy.
  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  1. Accounting Oversight:
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  1. Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls are in place.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies.
  1. Team Leadership and Development:
  • Manage and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team.
  1. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and drive organizational success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
  • years of experience in finance and accounting, with (X) years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
