RPA Support Specialist

Role: RPA Support Engineer

Job Location: Mumbai (Night Shift US Time Zone)

We have ambitious growth targets in APAC market, and this role will play a pivotal role in helping achieve these targets.

Experience Required- 2 -4 Years

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring & Incident Response

Proactively monitor RPA processes and infrastructure during night shifts to ensure system stability and continuity. Respond promptly to alerts and incidents related to RPA bots, minimizing downtime through swift root-cause analysis and resolution.

• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

Diagnose and resolve technical issues in production bots, scripts, and workflows using tools like UiPath, Power Automate, and scripting (Python, VBScript, etc.). Escalate complex or unresolved issues to development or platform teams with detailed logs and documentation.

• Audit & Maintenance

Perform regular health checks and audits of bot performance, logs, and scheduled executions to detect anomalies or inefficiencies. Maintain and update RPA environments and associated infrastructure components in coordination with IT and DevOps.

• Change Management & Documentation

Document all support activities, troubleshooting steps, and changes made to RPA systems for audit readiness and knowledge sharing. Maintain change logs and contribute to the runbooks and knowledge base articles.

• Compliance & Security Adherence

Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data handling guidelines, and audit requirements for all RPA operations. Collaborate with compliance and cybersecurity teams to keep bots aligned with enterprise standards.

• Communication & Stakeholder Collaboration

Send timely notifications and status updates for critical incidents, scheduled maintenance, or process downtimes. Communicate effectively with global teams, end-users, and stakeholders during incidents and handovers.

• Testing & Validation

Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, and validation of RPA updates or new bot deployments. Participate in change review boards or post-deployment reviews when required.

• On-Call Support
Provide on-call support during critical failures or business emergencies as per the teams rotation schedule.

Training & Best Practices

Conduct knowledge transfer and training sessions for business users or new team members on RPA tools and operational best practices. Stay current with RPA industry trends, tool updates, and automation frameworks.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

2+ years in an RPA support role, IT operations, or application support, preferably in a 24x7 environment. Experience with UiPath, Power Automate, or similar RPA platforms.

Technical Skills:

Strong hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBScript, PowerShell). Familiarity with infrastructure maintenance tools and bot orchestration platforms. Basic understanding of APIs, log analysis, and system monitoring tools.

Soft Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-driven, dependable, and able to work independently during night shifts (aligned to US hours).

Additional Preferences:

ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus. Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) or Vault/credential store integrations is advantageous.
