JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:
The Head of Payment Acceptance is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the payment acceptance channel development and leading market share of POS, Soft POS, QR, and IPG. This role will manage relationships with chain and retail merchants, ensuring high service quality and optimizing transaction throughput.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Deployment and Market Penetration:
- Drive the deployment of digital payment channels such as POS, Soft POS, QR, and IPG (Internet Payment Gateway / ecommerce merchants).
- Develop and execute strategies to increase market share and adoption of digital payment solutions.
Relationship Management:
- Manage relationships with chain merchants, retail merchants, super merchants, branch-less banking agents, and the international tie-ups for remittances.
- Ensure high service quality and satisfaction for merchants and agents.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business objectives.
Service Quality and Throughput Management:
- Ensure high service quality standards for merchants and agents.
- Oversee merchant throughput mandates, including cash management, wallets, cash-in/cash-out processes.
- Monitor and optimize merchant throughput to meet business targets.
- Strong liaising with vendors in order to bring latest and cutting edge payment technologies.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls for merchants and agents.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.
Performance Management:
- Achieve agency KPIs, focusing on performance metrics and targets.
- Lead initiatives for agent channel optimization and distribution channel development.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement
Channel Development:
- Develop and implement strategies for distribution channel development.
- Enhance the agent network to support business growth and expansion.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Preferably MBA (from a reputed university)

At least 12 years of experience in digital payments, merchant acquiring, or a related field, with a minimum of 5
years in a senior leadership role.
