Any other work as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or the HOD.


JOB SPECIFICATION: (QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE)


Years of Functional Experience: 4-6 years of work experience (preferably in the Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Cosmetics Industry). The candidate should have a good mix of work experience in the law firms and as an in-house counsel.

Degree: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Law.


Knowledge & Skills:

Prior work experience of the Contract Law, Municipal Laws, Labour Laws and Shops and Establishments Rules, Food Safety and Standard Act, Legal Metrology Act, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Transfer of Property Act, CPC, Consumer Protection Act, Banking Laws. The candidate should be familiar with Civil & Criminal Court procedures and Court rules, and should have a fair understanding of the Intellectual Property Laws

Understanding and application of legal procedures in relation to application of licenses, forms under applicable laws

Skills in drafting, vetting and reviewing of any kind of legal documents/papers

Basic understanding of retail operations and the commercial aspects of the business

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
