Our proprietary Gen AI agent framework automates the most time-consuming elements of deal evaluation — from industry deep-dives and credit underwriting to valuation analysis and deck creation — delivering investment-grade outputs in hours instead of weeks.

Founders:

● Tonmoy Shingal (CEO), Bangalore – Co-founder & ex-COO of Mettl, a SaaS-based, category-leading, AI-enabled talent assessment company acquired by Mercer in 2018. Has built large-scale, enterprise-grade commercial systems serving thousands of clients globally.

● Saurabh Gupta (Co- CEO), NYC – IIT Kanpur alumnus and PhD from MIT, with 18+ years of experience in strategy and due diligence, most recently as a Partner at KPMG in their New York office leading complex commercial diligence engagements for global PE clients.

● Core team includes ~30 talented, motivated professionals very apt for this mission (with PhDs in AI, key architects in leading global tech startups)

Role Overview We are seeking a Due Diligence Associate (CDD/ FDD/ ODD) to lead the next generation of investment analysis. This is not a back-office role — you will be at the frontlines of redefining how private equity deals are evaluated. The key goal: use Binocs' Gen AI agents and external research tools to produce high-quality, insight-rich research, underwriting memos, and decks at a fraction of traditional timelines. About 20% of your role will also involve collaborating with the product team — helping shape our roadmap and AI agent capabilities based on your deal-making insights. Key Responsibilities ● Underwriting & Due Diligence ○ Conduct sector, company, and competitive analysis for target investments. ○ Assess borrower/company financial health, growth potential, and risks. ○ Analyze historical & projected financials, cash flows, and leverage metrics. ○ Identify red flags, value creation levers, and deal breakers.

● Deal Support ○ Draft investment and credit memos for deal committees. ○ Prepare high-impact decks and decision packs for internal and client use. ○ Support valuation and credit modelling, including scenario & sensitivity analysis. ○ Sales support to build initial draft proposals for upcoming projects

● Use of AI & Technology ○ Harness Binocs' AI agent ecosystem and premium data platforms (Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet) to deliver fast, accurate, and fully-cited outputs. ○ Structure deliverables for clarity, precision, and strategic insight.

● Product Development Support (20%) ○ Collaborate with the product team to design and test new AI capabilities. ○ Provide structured feedback to improve deal workflow automation. ○ Help develop reusable templates, research frameworks, and agent workflows. Qualifications & Skills

● Experience: 2–4 years in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or equity research, ideally with exposure to credit analysis/underwriting.

● Education: Graduate in Business, Economics, Finance, or Engineering; MBA/CFA preferred.

● Core Skills: ○ Strong analytical and financial modelling skills. ○ Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. ○ Excellent structured writing and communication. ○ Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
