Our mission is to connect tenants directly with landlords and agents, offering seamless rental management, virtual tours, and our signature Rent Now, Pay Later (RNPL) service. We’re building an ecosystem that makes renting transparent, flexible, and effortless. --- ### *Role Overview* We’re looking for a *Backend Developer / Web Developer* who is passionate about the web and loves what they do. You are enthusiastic about web standards, always stay updated on industry developments, and actively seek opportunities to improve your skills. You enjoy showing your work, learning from others, and have strong attention to detail. You value design as much as code and can communicate your ideas effectively, maybe even share insights in blogs or talks. We need someone who takes ownership of their work, proactively identifies areas for improvement, and suggests technical and process enhancements. --- ### *Key Responsibilities* * Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using *Laravel 10 (PHP 8.1+)*. * Build and manage APIs for web and mobile applications (React + Inertia.js). * Integrate and maintain third-party services like *Stripe, **Cloudinary, and **CRM/marketing tools*. * Collaborate with product and frontend teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. * Take ownership of assigned projects and propose improvements to backend systems and workflows. * Manage and optimize database performance, including writing efficient *SQL queries* to speed up website response times. * Maintain and improve system architecture for high scalability and fault tolerance. * Write clean, testable, and well-documented code. * Support deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews. --- ### *Requirements* * *3+ years* of professional experience in backend web development. * Strong proficiency in *Laravel (v9 or v10)* and *PHP 8+*. * Solid understanding of *My SQL*, database design, and query optimization. * Experience with *SQL performance tuning* and *optimizing complex queries* for speed. * Experience with *RESTful APIs, **authentication systems (JWT, Sanctum), and **API versioning*. * Familiarity with *AWS, **VPS setup, or **server management (Forge, Ploi, etc.)* is a plus. * Experience working with *React.js or Inertia.js-based ecosystems* is a bonus. * Knowledge of *Stripe API, **webhooks, and **payment integrations*. * Understanding of *security best practices* and *data protection (GDPR, etc.)*. * Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and suggest improvements to systems and processes. * A true passion for web development, with a desire to continuously learn and share knowledge. --- ### *Preferred Skills* * Experience in real estate, proptech, or fintech platforms. * Exposure to *multitenant systems* or *microservice architecture*. * Familiarity with *CI/CD pipelines* and *Git-based workflows*. * Experience integrating *AI or automation tools* into backend processes. * *Python expertise* will be considered a strong advantage, especially for data automation, analytics, or AI-driven modules. --- ### *What We Offer* * Competitive salary and growth opportunities. * Flexible work setup (100% remote). * Opportunity to be part of a fast-growing startup shaping Dubai’s rental ecosystem. * Collaborative, creative, and mission-driven environment. --- *How to Apply:* Send your resume, Git Hub profile, and portfolio of recent work to *( )* with the subject line: Backend Developer – (Your Name).
