Sony Pictures Networks India is seeking an experienced Manager- Strategic Planning and Research .

The incumbent is responsible to understand, analyze, evaluate and implement the necessary steps to improve on sales by means of research, client strategies and educating/guiding the Sales team. It is critical for the incumbent to collaborate with both the Sales team and content teams to achieve higher revenues for the network

POSITION SPECIFICATIONEducation -

Post Graduate Diploma in ManagementExperience -

7 -10 years of experience in media planning and buying from media agencies or TV Sales Strategy & Planning experience.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIESUnderstanding of sales processUnderstanding of research methodologiesKnowledge of analysis toolsUnderstanding of the businessMarket intelligenceKnowledge of BARC, BI2016 and CTrac software's

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAnnual and medium term PlanningDesign the budget plan by time bands and monthsAnalyze the required CPRP and ER to arrive at the desired revenue targetTrack and analyze actuals vs targetGenerate weekly genre snapshot /monthly/quarterly reports based on BARC data/sales reviewsAnalysis and strategic inputsLiaise with agencies to understand the channel evaluation criteriaUnderstand competition in terms of pricing and client strategiesProvide insights to the sales team in terms of various reports and analyses e.g. FCT, yield per GRP, market intelligence, advertiser count etcProvide input to the business development team while evaluating new channels/propertiesIdentify revenue gaps and provide insights to the sales teams on how to bridge themSalesforce effectivenessCoach the sales teams on their day-to-day activities and answer their queriesDevelop tools e.g. deal automation software to improve the effectiveness of the sales teamProvide inputs and support for sales reviews
