Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a passion for innovative design. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement structural designs that meet project specifications and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create detailed structural designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
  • Conduct project scheduling to ensure timely completion of design phases.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
  • Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure precision in designs.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to facilitate the production of designed components.
  • Create schematics and technical documentation for design projects.
  • Apply ASME codes & standards in all design processes to maintain compliance.
  • Engage in system design, utilizing tools such as Simulink, LabVIEW, and Arduino for project development.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity under various conditions.
  • Participate in drafting activities to produce clear and comprehensive design layouts.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and Creo, for mechanical design tasks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and CNC machining processes.
  • Experience with quantum engineering concepts is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems using MATLAB for simulation purposes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with production teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in root cause analysis scenarios.
