Job Title : Lead Blockchain Engineer for P2E Product.

Location : Hamilton, Canada (Remote).

Type : Full-Time, Remote.

We are looking for a Senior Blockchain Engineer to lead the blockchain development for our innovative P2E chess game, Knightly Moves. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain the blockchain infrastructure of the game, ensuring seamless integration with gameplay mechanics. You will play a crucial part in implementing key features like Quest-to-Earn, Learn-to-Earn, Move-to-Earn, Compete-to-Earn, Trade-to-Earn, and community involvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement blockchain solutions for the Knightly Moves P2E game.

- Lead blockchain development efforts and provide technical guidance to the team.

- Develop and integrate blockchain features such as smart contracts, in-game currencies, and token rewards.

- Ensure the security, scalability, and transparency of the blockchain infrastructure.

- Collaborate with the game development team to integrate blockchain features seamlessly into the gaming experience.

- Contribute to the design of game tokenomics, focusing on in-game currency, governance rights, utility, access, and staking rewards.

- Drive the adoption of best practices in blockchain development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Proven experience in blockchain development, particularly within gaming projects.

- Proficiency in blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Solidity, and smart contracts.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Experience with P2E game development and knowledge of tokenomics is a plus.

Technical Skills :

Blockchain Development :

- Extensive experience in blockchain development, particularly with public blockchain networks like Ethereum.

- Deep understanding of blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and smart contracts.

- Proven experience with decentralized applications (dApps) and blockchain-based gaming projects.

Smart Contracts and Solidity :


- Proficiency in writing, testing, and deploying smart contracts using Solidity.

- Strong knowledge of smart contract security best practices, including preventing common vulnerabilities (i.e., reentrancy attacks).

- Experience with contract development tools like Truffle, Hardhat, and Remix.

Tokenomics and Game Economy Design :

- Understanding of tokenomics, especially within play-to-earn (P2E) ecosystems.

- Ability to design and implement token models, in-game economies, and reward systems.

- Experience in integrating token rewards, staking mechanisms, and governance models.

Blockchain Integration and Game Development :

- Experience integrating blockchain technology with gaming platforms.

- Knowledge of how to link on-chain and off-chain components to create seamless user experiences.

- Familiarity with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine is a plus.

Security and Scalability :

- Expertise in ensuring the security and scalability of blockchain networks.

- Familiarity with blockchain security audits, testing frameworks, and tools for ensuring the integrity of smart contracts.

- Knowledge of Layer 2 solutions and other scalability techniques to optimize performance.

Web3 and Decentralized Technologies :

- Strong knowledge of Web3.js, Ethers.js, or similar libraries for interacting with the blockchain.

- Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) principles, NFT standards (i.e., ERC-721, ERC-1155), and decentralized storage solutions like IPFS.

Cryptography and Data Structures :

- Understanding of cryptographic principles used in blockchain (i.e., public-key cryptography, hashing algorithms).

- Familiarity with Merkle trees, digital signatures, and consensus algorithms.

Soft Skills :

Problem-Solving :

- Strong analytical skills to address complex technical challenges, particularly in integrating blockchain with game mechanics.

- Ability to design robust and secure blockchain solutions for the P2E ecosystem.

Leadership and Collaboration :

- Experience in leading blockchain development efforts and providing technical direction to the team.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with game developers, designers, and other team members.

Communication :


- Excellent communication skills to explain complex blockchain concepts to non-technical team members.

- Experience in writing technical documentation and contributing to project planning.

Adaptability and Learning :

- Willingness to stay updated with the latest developments in blockchain technology, P2E models, and gaming trends.

- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and frameworks as the project evolves.

Project Management :

- Experience in managing development timelines, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring project milestones are met.

- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Preferred Experience :

- Gaming Industry : Previous experience working on blockchain gaming projects, particularly in the P2E sector.

- P2E Mechanisms : Understanding of play-to-earn models, including quest-to-earn, learn-to-earn, move-to-earn, compete-to-earn, and trade-to-earn systems.

- Community Involvement : Experience in building and maintaining community-driven blockchain initiatives, including governance models and community engagement strategies.
