Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Industry: Networking & Manufacturing

Location: Onsite – Bangalore, India and Santa Clara, California

Duration: Initial 2-year contract with high potential for extension

Key Responsibilities

Automate processes using Python scripting, Terraform, and Ansible

Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, and Git-based repositories

Build tools to visualize failures, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows

Develop and maintain automated testing infrastructure using Python/Go, Django/React, and MySQL

Provision, configure, and manage cloud/virtual environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware)

Create and maintain scripts and tools for daily DevOps operations

Manage multiple DevOps environments; support end-to-end release management

Collaborate with global teams to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE / Build & Release Engineering

Strong hands-on expertise in tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, Git, Docker

5+ years in automation (preferably Python, JavaScript, Go)

3+ years managing cloud systems (AWS/Azure/GCP) with understanding of cloud security

Experience with Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat), networking, and troubleshooting

Solid knowledge of IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM) and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

Familiarity with VMware, web frameworks (Django, React, Angular, MySQL), and version control (Git/Perforce)

Understanding of data center environments, including server, storage, and networking automation

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new tools and frameworks
