About Job Expectations

We are looking for a resilient, empathic Public Relations Specialist to contribute to the growth of our company's reputation and brand presence. Public Relations Specialist are responsible for creating and maintaining a positive public image for our CEO and the company by managing communications and interactions with the media, the public, and stakeholders.

To be successful as a Public Relations Specialist, you should have excellent communication skills, the ability to handle a crisis, and the creativity to develop engaging content. Ultimately, an outstanding Public Relations Specialist will keep a close eye on public opinion and media coverage to ensure that our company’s image remains strong and positive.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive PR strategy to enhance the public image of the CEO and the company.
  • Manage and respond to media inquiries, arranging interviews, and preparing press releases and speeches.
  • Focus on securing podcast appearances, interviews, and speaking engagements for the CEO.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and other media representatives.
  • Monitor media coverage and public opinion, creating reports and analyses for the CEO and senior management.
  • Organize and manage public events, conferences, and press conferences.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Create and manage content for press releases, byline articles, and keynote presentations.
  • Develop and maintain a media contact database.
  • Manage crisis communication strategies and serve as the main point of contact during any PR crises.
  • Ensure that all communications align with the company’s values and objectives.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of work experience in public relations, communications, or a similar role.
  • Experience in managing media relations in the US, UK, and Canada markets.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful PR campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their role in public relations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle crises with a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and produce meaningful insights.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
