The RoleAs a Product Manager for our digital public health initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in creating products that help transform public health. Leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with partners across the public health ecosystem, you will develop a deep understanding of the challenges in public health and craft a compelling shared narrative for how these problems can be addressed. Your role will span the entire product lifecycle—from framing the problem and defining the vision to driving execution, launch, and growth.

You will be an integral part of a diverse team, working closely with internal stakeholders (designers, developers, policy advocates, partnerships, and marketing) and external partners, including civil society organisations, governments, and private sector entities. Together, we will innovate, challenge the status quo, co-create products and push the boundaries of what’s possible by harnessing the combinatorial power of digital technology, ecosystem partnerships and policy to deliver better public health outcomes.

Your Responsibilities:

Product Vision and Strategy:Develop a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with eGov's mission and user needs.Craft a compelling product narrative that inspires and drives change within the larger ecosystem.Conduct market and user research to identify pain points and opportunities.Effectively communicate the product vision and strategy to stakeholders across the organisation.

Product Design and Development:Collaborate with designers, developers, knowledge partners and practitioners to translate the product vision into reality.Driving a culture of experimentation and data-based decision making, leading by example.Be hands on with product documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Drive the development of the product within time targets and cost budgets.

Product Launch, Evangelism, and Evolution:Lead the growth and adoption of the product, ensuring it meets user needs and delivers value.Develop and execute product launch plans, including training, demos, and communication strategies.Engage with external stakeholders through webinars, forums, and other channels.Track and monitor product performance using key metrics to measure success.Champion the product internally and externally, communicating progress to executive leadership.

Collaboration:Build and nurture a community of contributors and volunteers to support and enhance the product.Foster a collaborative environment within the product team and across departments.Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members, promoting continuous learning and growth.

You bring 5+ years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of taking products from concept to scale. You excel in user research, product prioritisation, and prototyping.Public Health Expertise:

You have experience in public health or healthcare, with a strong understanding of health systems, disease surveillance, and the challenges faced by frontline workers.Technical and Analytical Skills:

You are familiar with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and have experience with health technology systems, including EHRs and HIEs.Strong Communicator and Collaborator:

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are proactive, and take initiative.Agile Mindset:

You thrive in a fast-paced, Agile environment and have experience working closely with engineers, designers, and cross-functional teams.

Bonus Points:Exposure to the government sector, CSR, or social impact space.Experience in a 0-to-1 journey for a product.Involved in creating a SaaS product.

Experience:5 to 10 years of experience in product management where you have demonstrated taking a product from an idea and to a meaningful scale.You have experience in different aspects of product development and management from problem discovery, to design, development and launch.
