Role Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of short haul and long haul travel operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional travel experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient operations, managing supplier relationships, and enhancing customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:


Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations for short haul and long haul travel packages.
  • Ensure all travel itineraries are executed seamlessly from booking to completion.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of travel operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards.


Supplier and Partner Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel suppliers, partners, and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best rates and services.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements.


Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operations staff.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive operations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.


Customer Experience:

  • Address and resolve any customer service issues or complaints promptly.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Gather feedback to continuously improve travel offerings and services.


Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance operational performance.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs).


Budget and Financial Management:

  • Prepare and manage budgets for travel operations.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and make informed decisions.


Qualifications:


> Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in travel operations, with a focus on both short haul and long haul travel.
  • Proven track record of managing travel operations and leading teams.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in travel management software and tools.
