Position:- Senior Resident

Department:- Critical Care

Qualification:- MBBS, MD (Anaesthesia)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled in Critical Care to join our multidisciplinary ICU team. The Senior Resident will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical care of critically ill patients, performing emergency procedures, managing life-support systems, and coordinating with consultants and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care for critically ill patients under the supervision of ICU Consultants.
  • Monitor and manage ventilators, vasopressors, dialysis, and other advanced life-support equipment.
  • Conduct daily ICU rounds and update progress notes.

  • Perform emergency procedures such as:

  • Endotracheal intubation

  • Central line and arterial line insertion
  • Chest tube insertion

  • Basic and advanced airway management

  • Respond promptly to ICU emergencies and Code Blue situations.

  • Interpret ABGs, ECGs, chest X-rays, CT scans, and laboratory findings.
  • Ensure accurate documentation in patient medical records and ICU charts.
  • Participate in family counseling and explain prognosis, procedures, and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and other departments.
  • Participate in academic sessions, research, and audits.
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and patient safety guidelines.
