Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Bioinformatics Scientist with expertise in RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) and non-coding RNA analysis. The ideal candidate will have an MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field, and at least 2 years of hands-on experience working with RNA-seq data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute RNA-seq data analysis pipelines to support internal and external projects.- Conduct differential expression analysis, transcriptome assembly, and characterization of coding and non-coding RNAs.- Identify and annotate novel non-coding RNAs and perform functional analysis to understand their biological relevance.- Collaborate closely with wet lab scientists and cross-functional teams to design experiments and interpret results.- Visualize and communicate complex bioinformatics results through reports, presentations, and data visualizations.- Keep up to date with the latest advancements in RNA-seq methodologies and non-coding RNA research.- Contribute to the development and enhancement of in-house bioinformatics tools and workflows.

Qualifications:

- MS or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.- At least 2 years of experience in RNA-seq data analysis and non-coding RNA research.- Proficiency in bioinformatics programming languages such as R and Python- Experience with common bioinformatics tools for RNA-seq analysis (e.g., STAR, HISAT2, DESeq2, edgeR).- Strong knowledge of transcriptomics, gene regulation, and non-coding RNA biology.- Familiarity with public genomic databases (e.g., Ensembl, UCSC Genome Browser, NCBI) and pathway analysis tools.- Experience with Linux/Unix environments and high-performance computing clusters.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong verbal and written communication skills in english.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with single-cell RNA-seq or long-read sequencing technologies.- Familiarity with network analysis and integration of multi-omics data.- Familiarity with workflow management tools such as NextFlow and/or Snakemake.- Experience in developing data visualization tools for transcriptomics data.
