As a Social Media Manager, you'll manage an organization's online presence by developing a strategy, producing good content, analyzing usage data, facilitating customer service, and managing projects and campaigns.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop creative and engaging social media strategies and campaigns.Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Instagram, , Facebook, X, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channelsCreate engaging content (and outsource this effectively) across multiple platformsDevelop, launch, and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote your organization and brandForm key relationships with influencers across social media platformsUndertake audience researchManage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussionsMonitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insightsResearch and evaluate the latest trends and techniques to find new and better ways of measuring social media activityAnalyze competitor activityRecommend improvements to increase performanceSet targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagementmanage, motivate, and coach juniors such as social media executives or interns.Encourage collaboration across teams and departmentsRegularly connect with clients via telephone, email, conference calls, or face-to-face (agency roles).

Qualifications2+ years of social media marketing experience (prefer to have account management experience also).A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly about advertising/branding and customersStrong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet to using effective storytelling techniquesKnowledge and understanding of algorithms and search engine optimizationCreative skills for contributing new and innovative ideasStrong communication and people skills for articulating ideas to colleagues and clientsLeadership qualities to lead and motivate a teamExcellent teamwork, collaboration, and networking skillsOrganizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and work across multiple projectsProject and campaign management skillsThe ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlinesOnline community management and customer service skills to strike the balance between publicity and stimulating direct discussion with potential and actual customersAn eye for detail and the ability to work accuratelyMotivation and commitment to work
