Job Description:We are seeking a skilled QA Lead with expertise in data testing and data warehousing testing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance methodologies and a proven track record of ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data processes and systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and execution of ETL/data warehousing testing activities, including test strategy development, test planning, test case creation, and test execution.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and data engineers, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.Design and implement test cases and test scenarios to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across various data sources and transformations.Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for ETL/data warehousing testing to improve efficiency and repeatability of testing processes.Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and prevent recurrence.Lead and mentor QA team members, providing guidance, training, and support in ETL/data warehousing testing best practices and methodologies.Conduct risk assessments and prioritize testing efforts based on project timelines, criticality, and potential impact on data integrity.Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, including test execution results, defect metrics, and overall quality status.Collaborate with stakeholders to validate data migration processes and ensure successful data transfers between systems.Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in ETL/data warehousing testing, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge in relevant technologies and tools.

QualificationsMinimum 7+ years of QA experience in data projects.Good experience in ETL/Data warehouse projects.Collaborate with the Development/Business teams to understand the requirements.Analyzing Business Requirements/cases and developing/managing the positive/negative test scenarios cases.Ability to create test files to validate Business requirements and metadata layer configurations.Strong knowledge in writing complex SQL queries for data analysis.Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects.Strong analytical and technical skills to address data issues.Experience using Jira to track work assignments.Working experience in Cloud-related projects.Working experience in AWS/AWS Services is a big plus.Ability to adapt to new environments and learn in-house tools and practices.Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
