Overview:
UAP is looking for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead our student recruitment efforts in Kochi, Kerala. This key role will focus on expanding UAP’s presence in the region by establishing strategic partnerships with educational institutions, recruitment agencies, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in international student recruitment, a proven ability to meet targets, and the passion to contribute to UAP’s continued growth in the global education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Vision:
Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to boost UAP’s international student recruitment footprint within Kochi and the broader Kerala region.
Analyse both regional and global education trends to uncover opportunities for student recruitment, adjusting strategies as needed.
Continuously innovate and refine recruitment strategies to ensure UAP remains competitive and increases student enrolments.
Partnership Development:
Identify and cultivate partnerships with local universities, colleges, and recruitment agencies to support student recruitment initiatives.
Manage and foster these partnerships, ensuring alignment with UAP’s objectives and tracking performance for continuous improvement.
Expand B2B relationships with educational agents and institutions to strengthen UAP’s recruitment network within Kochi and beyond.
Sales and Marketing:
Design and implement sales and marketing initiatives to promote UAP’s offerings to prospective students, educational institutions, and partners in Kerala.
Represent UAP at major industry events, seminars, and educational fairs to boost brand awareness and drive recruitment efforts.
Develop customised marketing materials and presentations for students, partners, and educational institutions in Kochi.
Student Recruitment:
Lead targeted student recruitment campaigns, leveraging digital marketing, direct outreach, and participation in key recruitment events.
Use CRM systems to manage student inquiries, tracking the process from initial contact through to enrolment.
Collaborate closely with UAP’s recruitment teams to ensure effective and tailored strategies for the Kochi region.
Collaboration:
Work closely with admissions and academic teams to streamline the application and enrolment process for students from Kerala.
Ensure seamless coordination across departments to deliver an exceptional experience for both students and partners.
Reporting, Analytics, and Operational Excellence:
Establish and maintain robust reporting systems to track recruitment activities, partnership performance, and market trends, providing strategic insights based on data analytics.
Regularly update senior management on recruitment progress, KPIs, and partnership outcomes.
Manage agent accounts and prepare performance reports to ensure alignment with UAP’s recruitment goals.
Organise training sessions, workshops, and mock interviews to help prospective students improve their application success rates.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
A minimum of 3 years of experience in international student recruitment, with a strong track record of achieving recruitment targets.
In-depth knowledge of global higher education systems, admissions processes, and student visa regulations, especially for key student destinations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to design and execute successful recruitment strategies that attract students from various regions.
Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and increasing student enrolments.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools; experience with student recruitment platforms is a plus.
Willingness to travel for recruitment events, partner meetings, and other business-related activities as required.
