The Low Power Audio product line is hiring an Audio DSP firmware engineer to support its low power audio Smart Amp and converter products. Candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Audio algorithm and audio framework on DSP platform. The role involves designing, developing, debugging, optimizing and testing of Matlab, embedded C and assembly source code with an emphasis on audio applications. Maintenance and improvement of existing audio algorithm code base including music and voice enhancement, Acoustic Echo canceller, Noise cancelling and speaker protection algorithms.

Key responsibilities include:

Design DSP algorithms on Matlab/Simulink and Implement on embedded C and assembly based Digital Signal ProcessorsFirmware development for audio products and subsystemsDevelop optimized code for audio post processing, speaker protection and audio enhancement and AEC/NC algorithmsParticipate in firmware code reviews and create documentation for firmware projects including block diagrams, state diagrams, coding specifications and product descriptions

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, ECE with specialization in signal processing1-2 years’ experience in embedded audio platformsExcellent C/C++ and assembly coding skillsOptimizing code for programmable DSP'sMATLAB, Python, C and Assembly language experience requiredDeep understanding of signal processing, DSP fundamentals

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in signal processing techniques such as digital filter design (IIR, FIIR), adaptive filtering, noise and echo cancellationExperience with adaptive filters, sub-band processing, multi-rate DSP, and frequency domain processingFamiliarity with machine learning tools (eg. PyTorch) and training/testing methodologies is a plusBringing up audio hardware and prototyping systemsAbility to work with a variety of teams or independently as neededSystem Profiling tools experienceStrong debugging/trouble-shooting skills of embedded systems
