DSP firmware engineer

Maintenance and improvement of existing audio algorithm code base including music and voice enhancement, Acoustic Echo canceller, Noise cancelling and speaker protection algorithms.



Key responsibilities include:



Design DSP algorithms on Matlab/Simulink and Implement on embedded C and assembly based Digital Signal Processors

Firmware development for audio products and subsystems

Develop optimized code for audio post processing, speaker protection and audio enhancement and AEC/NC algorithms

Participate in firmware code reviews and create documentation for firmware projects including block diagrams, state diagrams, coding specifications and product descriptions




Minimum Requirements:



Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, ECE with specialization in signal processing

1-2 years’ experience in embedded audio platforms

Excellent C/C++ and assembly coding skills

Optimizing code for programmable DSP's

MATLAB, Python, C and Assembly language experience required

Deep understanding of signal processing, DSP fundamentals




Preferred Qualifications:




Hands-on experience in signal processing techniques such as digital filter design (IIR, FIIR), adaptive filtering, noise and echo cancellation

Experience with adaptive filters, sub-band processing, multi-rate DSP, and frequency domain processing

Familiarity with machine learning tools (eg. PyTorch) and training/testing methodologies is a plus

Bringing up audio hardware and prototyping systems

Ability to work with a variety of teams or independently as needed

System Profiling tools experience

Strong debugging/trouble-shooting skills of embedded systems
