Sr. Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong backend focus to join our growing team as a Team Lead. In this role, you will not only play a key role in building and maintaining the core infrastructure of our web applications but also lead and mentor junior developers. You will leverage your expertise in backend technologies to design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable solutions while fostering a collaborative and efficient development environment.

Responsibilities

 

1)    Backend:

  •       Design and develop APIs using NestJS and Node.js
  •       Build and maintain backend services using best practices and design patterns.
  •     Implement data access login utilizing PostgreSQL and TypeORM, demonstrating strong fundamentals for
  • database and SQL.
  •       Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (unit and end-to-end) using Jest.
  •       Optimize backend functionalities for performance and scalability.
  •       Ensure data security and integrity throughout the application.


2)    Leadership:

  •    Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them grow their skills and knowledge.
  •    Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality, adherence to best practices, and maintainability.
  •   Take ownership and lead the development process, setting clear goals, assigning tasks, and managing timelines.
  •  Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the team, promoting open communication and
  • problem-solving.



3)    Frontend:

  •     Collaborate with front-end developers to understand UI/UX requirements and translate them into feasible API
  • contracts.
  •     Contribute to the development of reusable and maintainable front-end components as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in both front-end and back-end development


What makes you an ideal candidate


  •   3+ years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong emphasis on backend development.
  •     In-depth knowledge of Node.js, NestJS, and JavaScript (ES6+).
  •     Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and SQL, including proficiency in writing complex
  • queries, optimizing for performance, and adhering to best practices.
  •     Proven experience with ORM tools (TypeORM), unit and end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest), and CI/CD

pipelines.

  •     Experience with version control systems (Git).
  •     Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for guiding and developing others.
  •     Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for building high-quality, secure, and scalable web applications.

  •    Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  •    Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  •    Experience with security best practices and frameworks.
